When COVID-19 broke out in Germany, the entire country went into a first lockdown for around 1 month. During this period, all stores were required to close, leaving only delivery and drive-in services open.
As the restrictions began to ease, Burger King wanted to announce the reopening of their restaurants, and at the same time help customers to keep a safe distance from each other.
The idea: A re-imagination of the King’s iconic crown. This idea aimed at adding some humor to social distancing policies and bringing a smile to people during these stressful times
We started with a simple post:
And the Internet loved it …
Overwhelmed with requests from all over the world, we gave people a DIY guide, so everyone can make the giant crown by themselves.
And build it they did.
RESULTS
Over 1.5 Billion people reached worldwide.
Over 15 Billion total impressions.
The most successful Social Media Post in history of Burger King Germany.
